Eleanor’s passion for flowers began with a sunflower patch she nurtured annually in the front yard of her family’s home in Northern Virginia. As a medical student at Virginia Commonwealth University, her love of fresh flowers combined with her desire to care for patients sparked the creation of The Simple Sunflower. Throughout her journey in medicine, she has remained deeply committed to the organization.
